    Hallo Leute,

    Presentation about “RoadSense”

(On the wall behind me I show the “RoadSense” logo with a data projector and on the black board is the poster of “RoadSense”)
    Good morning, everybody,
today I am going to talk about the project “RoadSense” for Mercedes-Benz Driving Academy on which I was working the last few weeks.

(On the wall behind me I show the cycle of the presentation in headwords with the data projector)
To start with, I´ll describe the main aim of “RoadSense” and then I´ll mention the target group of the several advertising material which I designed. After that we look at the layout and I explain to you why I decided to act like this. Finally I tell you how long the amount of work was and afterwards I´ll summarize my presentation and give you the handout and some sample work. Please do feel free to interrupt me if you have any questions or if you don´t understand something!

I bet, everyone of us remember a risky situation on the road, even if you don´t have your own car, maybe as a pedestrian when you were young or something comparable. “RoadSense” encourages young people from 13 to 17 to take responsibility for doing the right thing on the road – whether as a passenger, driver, pedestrian or cyclist. Specially trained coaches help pupils to assess themselves and others around them – for their own safety and that of other road users. The interactive program is especially for the young people without a driving licence: they should get trained after they get their bicycle licence but before they get their driving licence – not too early but particularly not too late!

(On the wall behind me I show the main goals of “RoadSense” in headwords with the data projector)
The main goals of “RoadSense” are:
A change in perspective – by stepping into the shoes of other drivers and passengers, the behaviour of others becomes clearer.
Assessing ourselves – getting to know our own strengths and weaknesses can help us adapt quickly to situations and develop strategies for maintaining safety.
Controlling situations – what would happen if? Understanding that every passenger can influence what happens in the car.
Avoiding risks – when we perceive a risk or predict a risky situation, what can we do to avoid it?

I had to design a flyer, a brochure, a poster, a folder and a note paper. To choose how I will design these things, I had to check for which target group the advertising material was. Mainly it was for the parents and the teachers of the 13 to 17 year-olds but also for the pupils themselves. So the design had to be legitimate to convince the parents and teachers but it also had to be modern to target the pupils. Because of this I chose a simple design.
The font including line spacing and font size was given by Mercedes-Benz and I was not allowed to change it. They had complicated formula to figure out the line spacing, so this was a bit complicated to me. The pictures for the advertising material were also given but I had to choose appropriate ones out of the multitude of pictures. For the English version of “RoadSense” I had to retouch some of the pictures, for example because the wheel is on the other side in England. It was important for me to choose pictures who show the pupils “in action” so that the viewer can imagine the versatile challenges for the pupils.

It took me for about one week to design all of the advertising material for “RoadSense”.

To conclude, I want to say, that the project “RoadSense” was a stressfull time but I had a lot of fun, learned much and enjoyed to work on my first own project.

Thank you very much for your attention. Are there any final questions?

(After answering the questions I show the audience some sample work, for example the flyer and the brochure. I do this intended after the presentation, because if I would show the flyer and brochure during the presentation, the audience may not listening but looking and the sample work.
Finally I give a handout to the audience.)

    Presentation about "RoadSense"

(On the wall behind me I show the "RoadSense" logo with a data projector and the poster of "RoadSense" on the black board)
    Good morning, everybody,
today I am going to talk about the project "RoadSense" of the Mercedes-Benz Driving Academy I worked on the last few weeks.

(On the wall behind me I show the cycle of the presentation in form of headers with the data projector)
In the beginning I´ll describe the main aim of "RoadSense" and then I´ll mention the target group of the several advertising material which I designed. After that I will explain the way I decided to act while the layout will be shown. Finally I will talk about the amount of the work. And in the end you will get the summarize while I distribute the handouts and some sample work.

tell you how long the amount of work was--> was willst du damit sagen???

Please interrupt me if you have any questions or if you don´t understand anything!

I bet, everybody remember a risky situation on the road, even if you don´t have/drive your own car, maybe as a pedestrian when you were young or something comparable. "RoadSense" encourages young people from 13 to 17 to take responsibility for doing(raus) the right thing/choice on the road - whether as a passenger, driver, pedestrian or cyclist. Specially trained coaches help pupils to assess themselves and others around them - for their own safety and of course the safety of others./that of other road users. The interactive program is especially for the young people without a driving licence: they should get trained after they get their bicycle licence but before they get their driving licence - not too early but particularly not too late!

Pah bin ich müde....., rest später!

    Ich mach mal ungeniert weiter

(I'll show the main goals of "RoadSense" in headwords on the wall, using the data projector)
The main goals of "RoadSense" are:
A change in perspective - by stepping into the shoes of other drivers and passengers, the behaviour of others becomes clearer.
Assessing ourselves - getting to know our own strengths and weaknesses can help us adapt quickly to situations and develop strategies for maintaining safety.
Controlling situations - realizing when the atmosphere in the car compromises safety and understanding that every passenger can influence what happens in the car.
Avoiding risks - when we perceive a risk or predict a risky situation, what can we do to avoid it?

I had to design a flyer, a brochure, a poster, a folder and a note paper. Regarding the design of these, I had to check for which target group the advertising material was intended for. Mainly, it was for the parents and teachers of the 13 to 17 year old teenagers, but also for the pupils themselves. So the design had to be legitimate to convince the parents and teachers but it also had to be modern to target the pupils. Because of this I chose a simple design.
The font with it's characteristics like line spacing and font size was given by Mercedes-Benz, meaning I was not allowed to change it. They had a complicated formula to figure out the line spacing which was a bit complicated to me. The pictures for the advertising material were also given but I still[/red] had to choose appropriate ones out of the multitude of pictures. For the English version of "RoadSense" I had to retouch some of the images, for example adjusting the steering-wheel to the left side in England. It was important for me to choose pictures, which show the pupils "in action", so that the viewer can imagine (geht, wobei ich fände hier "grasp" passender) the versatile challenges for the pupils.

It took me about one week to design all the components of the advertising material for "RoadSense".

To conclude my presentation, I must admit that the project "RoadSense" was a stressful time for me , yet I had a lot of fun, learned much and enjoyed to work on my first own project.

Thank you very much for listening. Are there any final questions?

(After answering potential questions, I will show some examples of my work to the audience, like the flyer and the brochure. The reason for doing this at the end is simply to avoid people drawing their attention to these items instead of me during the presentation. Eventually, I'll give a handout to the audience.)

Denke, das passt ganz gut so.

Nur ein kleiner Tipp falls du das ausdrucken möchtest anstatt handschriftlich.
(Nur wegen der Perfektion wegen... )
Das "richtige" strichelchen sieht so aus.
    Bsp.
    >I'm
I´m sieht doof aus wie ich finde.
