    seit 4.12 gibts nun die divx unterstützung auf der 360. meine ersten zwei versuchten videos haben zwar nich geklappt aber jetzt läuft irgendwie alles bei mir.

    Keine halben Sachen - Voller DivX Support für die PS3

    Zugegeben, die Xbox360 bekam den DivX Support vor der PS3 spendiert - aber dort in eher halbgarer Form. Die PS3 wird dagegen komplett DivX zertifiziert sein. Das bedeutet, das die Konsole nicht nur alle DivX kompatiblen Daten abspielen kann, sondern auch, dass Entwickler diese Technologie in Spielen einsetzen können (für Zwischensequenzen, Extras). Wann das Update kommt? Laut der Firma DivX bald - bald in ein/zwei Wochen. Gemeunkelt wird, dass die Technik mit dem Blu-ray Profil 1.1 hinzugefügt werden soll. Wir werden ja sehen...

    Morgen kommt Firmware 2.10 für die PS3 raus. Die Features:

    A Voice Changer feature has been added to the Voice and Video Chat menu. If you want more information visit eu.playstation.com and consult the "Voice Changer" guide included in the "Help and Technical Assistance for PS3" section.

This feature allows you to change the tone of the sound originated by audio devices, like microphones. It has 5 preset levels and a bass and (what's the opposite of bass? :p) scale. 

You can alter the tone while using the Voice and Video chat options available in "Friends"

Other 2.10 stuff

Music

- Now you can select the options [Type 3] in Settings > Music Settings > Bitmapping. This bitmapping process has been designed exclusively for the PS3 with the goal of improving the audio reproduction.

Video

- DivX and VC-1 WMV (WOOOOOT) are now compatible. *
- The system is now compatible with the Profile 1.1 Blu-ray Disc. **
- A [BD data tool] option has been added ***

- To play VC-1 (WMV) files you will need to select the option [Activate WMA reproduction], available in the Settings > System Settings
- It's not possible to play copyrighted files or files compressed with DivX 3.11
- It's not possible to play files bigger then 2GB

- Now you have several additional features, like the simultaneous reproduction of the videos in the Blu-ray Disc compatible with the 1.1 Profile. The available features vary depending on the disc.

    stimmt das?? also hat xbox wirklich vor der ps3 den divx codec bekommen??

    wenn ja, dann kann ich nur lachen^^...
    sony fängt mit den verhandlungen vorher an...und verliert auch noch den wettlauf??

    trotzdem hat ms auch mist gebaut...
    wenn ich einen divx film streame, wird dieser nicht abgespielt...
    wenn ich den selben film aber auf eine dvd packe und diese dann einlege, wird der film ohne probleme abgepielt...

    also hat ms zwar den wettlauf gewonnen, dennoch erneut mist gebaut -.-

    is doch stulle wie brot ob ms jetzt zuerst den support eingeführt hat oder nich
    hier gehts nich um ms sondern um sony! dass die fw morgen kommt steht auch nicht fest!

    hier mal die neuerungen auf deutsch:

    • Voice Changer Feature zum Voice und Video Chat Menü hinzugefügt; damit kann man die Lautstärke und den Bass Level von Mikrofonen und Headsets regeln bzw. festlegen
    • Neue Musik Features: [Type 3] in Settings > Music Settings > Bitmapping; verbessert die Soundqualität und wurde exklusiv für die PS3 entwickelt
    • Neue Video Features: DivX und VC-1 WMV sind nun kompatibel (WMV muss vorher im Menü online aktiviert werden, man kann keine kopiergeschützten Daten oder DivX 3.11 encodierte Videos abspielen, es werden keine Dateien, die größer als 2GB sind erkannt)
    • Neue Video Features: Die PS3 ist nun kompatibel mit der Blu-ray Spec 1.1 (Viele neue Features, Nutzen variert aber von Disc zu Disc)
    • Neue Video Features: Die Option [BD data tool] wurde hinzugefügt (speichert Management Daten die bei Blu-rays genutzt werden)
